Throughout the month of June, Skanska and One Day Came Inc. held a successful series of virtual and in-person informational sessions designed to connect with vendors and subcontractors of all types. These sessions provided key insights into the upcoming reconstruction projects for Stewart Middle Magnet and Just Elementary Schools — and helped ensure that small, local, and diverse businesses have a fair opportunity to participate.
Next up: Skanska will host a Pairing Session on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM. This event is designed to connect large prime contractors with potential subcontractor partners ahead of the bid submission deadline on July 17th.
So far, the outreach effort has engaged over 130 participants, demonstrating the impact of meeting the community where they are. “We’re not just building a school — we’re building a community,” said Skanska Sr. Project Manager, Darryl Salustro.
