On Tuesday, April 28th, Hillsborough County Public Schools marked a historic milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction of Stewart Middle Magnet School and Just Elementary School. District leadership, community leaders, stakeholders, and alumni of the beloved Howard W. Blake High School gathered to celebrate the moment — a testament to the deep roots and bright future of the West Tampa community.
The $77 million project will deliver a brand-new 135,000-square-foot shared campus, with Stewart Middle accommodating more than 1,000 student stations and Just Elementary serving over 530 students. Completion is expected in early 2028. This is more than a construction project — it’s a community reborn. Stay tuned for updates as the transformation unfolds.
